The Green Shopper Program

This program is intended to help you make informed decisions about buying less, reusing and recycling packaging. It was developed by The Environmentally Sound Packaging (ESP) Coalition of Canada (1987-2003), of which PITCH-IN CANADA was a founding member, in cooperation with Canada Safeway and Overwaitea Food Group (two major Canadian/international food retailers) and B.C. Environment.

The Green Shopper Program is free and an excellent 15 minute, high energy video entitled "We can Make a Difference may be purchased from the PITCH-IN CANADA Store.

Less Packaging for a better Environment

All of us are concerned about the environment and want to find ways to make a difference. The Green Shopper Program offers a range of information and activities which promote the active involvement of consumers in reducing the amount of solid waste created by packaging.

Each element of The Green Shopper Program may be used individually or in conjunction with others.
