Are members of your group, class, household or community part of the problem or solution to the solid waste problem? Before you can determine if you are, you need to learn more about the problem and possible solutions. To find out more about packaging and before you conduct your personal packaging audit, we suggest you first review The Green Shopper program.

  The Personal Packaging Audit Before beginning your Audit, discuss why packaging is sometimes necessary. A package may be necessary, but may be rendered non-reusable or non-recyclable due to a number of factors. Discuss these factors. Complete your one week Personal Packaging Audit by recording at least five items you buy each day, including products from different stores such as grocery, clothing, gas, fast food outlet, video store, etc...
