Action Projects to Improve the
Environment
Displays
The best places for displays are where people get together, such as
theatres, libraries, banks, book shops, museums, local shopping centres, church halls,
community halls, drive-ins, etc...
Try to develop "inter-active" displays to involve
passers-by. Seek their opinions.
Here
are some ideas for displays
- Display your Group's Work
- Show how much is going on. Include details of your group's activities
such as environmental projects, posters, photo contests etc...
- The Good, Bad and Ugly
- Photo display showing all that's right and what's wrong
with your community's visual appearance.
- The Dirty Dozen
Feature the top 12 items found in your PITCH-IN CANADA Pollution Count.

- Reuse-Recycle
- Feature items of packaging which can be reused/recycled and which can
not. Help to make passers-by understand that the choice to buy either is
theirs.
- Provide information on recycling systems/depots/outlets available in
your community.
- Composting
- Show how easy it is.
